Piermont House Restoration
Piermont, New York

Suffering a fire and extensive water damage, the turn-of-the-century clapboard house’s interior was stripped to bare studs, rafters and subfloors. The goal was a Restoration recreating what was lost, while subtly introducing modern amenities and improving energy efficiency. The building envelope was insulated from top to bottom and new wiring, plumbing and HVAC were replaced. With all-new interior finishes, a new kitchen and bathroom, a rebuilt solarium and a balcony overlooking the Hudson River, the house is ready for its next hundred years.
