The original house was a 19th century wood “fisherman’s cottage”, complete with a stone enclosure in the water for holding the day’s catch. The renovation included a significant repair and reworking of the cottage, including a new roof, windows, wiring, lighting and a relocated stair. A new kitchen, pantry and dining room wing was added to the south of the original cottage – to the north, a master bedroom suite, two guest bedrooms, exercise room and garage. A 1500 square foot deck faces east providing panoramic views of the Hudson River.
